The primary mission of the Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund is to assist needy children (or families with children in need) whose primary residence is within the Counties of Orange, Ulster and Sullivan, in the State of New York.
Children or families falling under the scope of definition for need could include, but not necessarily be limited to the following situations:
I) Seriously ill or disabled children;
II) Orphaned children or children affected by the death of a guardian serving as the family’s main source of income;
III) Homeless children or children who have been seriously affected by fire or other natural disaster.
The secondary objective of the organization is to fund two (2) scholarships annually for college-bound students of the Warwick Valley Central School District. These students must have demonstrated considerable achievement in the face of adversity, or have shown extreme courage and/or athletic achievement.
More than 95% of the contributions to BACF go directly to the families we help.
